Upon investigation, the permitted sidewalk dining enclosure had been removed, and a permanent structure was being installed. Utilities had been installed (gas & electrical) in the structure. A verbal stop work notice was issued to both the on site manager and the contractor. They were advised that the structure was unpermitted, and violated several rules of the LBMC as well as the Sidewalk Dining & Parklet hand book and it would need to be removed in 1 weeks time. I advised that if it was not removed, or if I saw construction instead of demo, I would issue a NNC with an immediate citation.
